Hamilton Station

Effective immediately and continuing through approximately late May 2022, boarding changes will occur at Princeton Junction and Hamilton Station for ongoing Amtrak infrastructure work. 

Service Notes:

  • IMPORTANT: There will be limited level-boarding/detraining at Princeton Junction and Hamilton Stations. Some doors will not open on certain cars. Please listen for announcements and follow the direction of crewmembers and customer service staff when boarding/detraining.
  • Certain late-night trains operating to Trenton may board/detrain on Track 1 (the normal eastbound/to Newark/New York platform).​​​​​​​

Please allow for extra travel time, listen to all announcements and check destination sign before boarding.

For your safety, observe all posted signs, and do not travel through barricaded areas.

We appreciate your patience during this important critical infrastructure work.

Hamilton Station

UPDATE: Adjacent Escalator No. 3 may also be TEMPORARILY out of service for short periods during this project.

Effective immediately and continuing until further notice, Escalator No. 4, one of the escalators serving the Westbound Platform (toward Trenton side) at Hamilton Station is temporarily out of service for a long-term upgrade and enhancement project.

During this time, customers may use the nearby elevator or stairs to access the pedestrian tunnel to the platforms.

Station Navigation Notes:

  • If you require accessible services, please check the Elevator Status page before starting your trip.
  • Note that adjacent Escalator No. 3 may be briefly taken out of service for maintenance during this project. 
  • For your safety, please follow posted signage, do not travel through barricaded areas and do not use closed escalators as stairs.
  • Please allow for extra time to navigate the station and board your train.
