The COVID-19 response efforts by NJTRANSIT are constantly evolving and being enhanced to remain consistent with federal and state health recommendations to ensure the health and safety of our employees and customers still using the system for essential travel.

Download the NJ TRANSIT Mobile App® and activate push notifications.

Stay connected to NJ TRANSIT social media for system updates and real-time service status.

Executive Order 165 requires all staff & customers to wear face coverings on board all transit vehicles and inside all stations & facilities. Masks are also required on train platforms & bus stops when distancing is not possible. Eating & drinking are strictly prohibited aboard all transit vehicles.

If you have to travel, allow extra time getting to and from your destination, and listen closely to public address announcements at stations for late-breaking service information.


NJ TRANSIT is operating full weekday bus service system-wide.  

Seats near the bus operator have been taken out of service to allow for proper social distancing for the operator.

Please use the NJ TRANSIT Mobile App® or a TVM to purchase tickets prior to boarding to personal contact with the bus operator.

Access Link Operations hours for status and cancellation continue to be from 5am to 10pm. Access Link continues to be reachable with staff working both on-site and from remote locations. Continue to check the operating hours of your destinations before you schedule your trip.
