SERVICE ADVISORY: NJ TRANSIT OFFERS BUS SERVICE TO MOUNTAIN CREEK ACTION PARK

Service to operate Saturdays, Sundays and holidays starting June 14

NEWARK, NJ — This summer, NJ TRANSIT is offering seasonal service to Mountain Creek Action Park on the No. 304 bus route—along with a special discount off park admission—to customers traveling from Port Authority Bus Terminal, Weehawken, Union City, North Bergen and Wayne/Route 23 Transit Center. 

 

Starting on Saturday, June 14, service on the No. 304 bus route will operate Saturdays and Sundays, as well as on Independence Day, July 4, and Labor Day, Monday, September 1. 

 

Buses will depart from Port Authority Bus Terminal Gate 326 at 8:45 a.m., pick up customers in Union City (31st Street and Bergenline Avenue) at 8:55 a.m. and Wayne/Route 23 Transit Center at 9:15 a.m., and arrive in front of the Mountain Creek Red Tail Lodge at 10:25 a.m.  For travel to Mountain Creek, local stops will be made upon request at all marked NJ TRANSIT bus stops along North Marginal Road/31st Street in Weehawken, Union City and North Bergen.

 

The return trip will depart from Mountain Creek Red Tail Lodge at 5:30 p.m., stop at Wayne/Route 23 Transit Center at 6:40 p.m. and Union City (31st Street and Palisades Avenue) at 7:10 p.m., and arrive at the Port Authority Bus Terminal at 7:20 p.m.  For travel from Mountain Creek, local stops will be made upon request at all marked NJ TRANSIT bus stops along South Marginal Road/30th Street in Weehawken, Union City and North Bergen.

 

Roundtrip fare from the Port Authority Bus Terminal is $25.50 for adults and $11.50 for children ages 5-11, senior citizens and customers with disabilities.

 

From Weehawken, Union City and North Bergen, roundtrip fare is $12.40 for adults and $5.60 for children ages 5-11, senior citizens and customers with disabilities.

 

From Wayne/Route 23 Transit Center, roundtrip fare is $8.80 for adults and $4 for children ages 5-11, senior citizens and customers with disabilities.

 

NJ TRANSIT customers can save up to $8 on the Mountain Creek Action Park adult admission price when they ride the No. 304 bus.  The discount is available by showing a valid NJ TRANSIT bus receipt at the Park Ticket Window or Guest Services.

On weekends, kids ride free on NJ TRANSIT

 

For maximum savings, families can combine the Mountain Creek discount with NJ TRANSIT’s Family Supersaver fare, which allows two children 11 and younger to travel free with each fare-paying adult every weekend and on holidays.
