SERVICE ADVISORY: NJ TRANSIT EXPANDS NO. 119 BUS SERVICE TO FURTHER MITIGATE IMPACT OF PULASKI SKYWAY CLOSURES

NEWARK, NJ — As part of ongoing efforts to further mitigate the impact of lane closures, detours and increased traffic congestion as a result of the Pulaski Skyway rehabilitation project, NJ TRANSIT today announced the expansion of midday and Saturday service on the No. 119 Bus Route, connecting Bayonne and Jersey City to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan. 

 

Starting Monday, April 21, the No. 119 Bus Route serving Bayonne and Jersey City commuters travelling to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan will operate with additional service as follows:

  • Midday service every 30 minutes between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
  • Saturday service every 60 minutes between 5 a.m. and 10 p.m.  

The Route No 119 begins at 3rd St. and JFK Blvd. in Bayonne and continues along JFK Boulevard making stops throughout Bayonne and Jersey City, including at Journal Square, where customers may access PATH train service, continuing to Willow Ave. and 14th St. in Hoboken and a final stop at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan.

 

Prior to the expansion of this service, the No. 119 Bus Route only operated on weekdays, during peak periods.
