NJ TRANSIT WINTER STORM UPDATE AS OF 12 P.M. FEBRUARY 26
Most bus service to be restored starting at 1 p.m.

NEWARK, NJ — NJ TRANSIT is preparing to restore bus service and adjust rail and light rail service as needed today, February 26, as snow begins to taper off. Customers are advised to allow extra travel time and to check njtransit.com before starting their trip.
Due to the continuing effects of extreme winter weather, customers are advised of the following:
Bus Service: Buses will depart from their normal starting points, beginning at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 26, except as noted below. Customers are advised to expect delays and detours due to local road conditions. NJ TRANSIT had suspended all bus service in northern and central New Jersey (all routes north of I-195 including service in and out of New York) by 5 a.m. today.
- Nos. 64, 68, 71, 73, 75, 93, 97, 111, 120, 131, 133, 134, 135, 138, 196 and 321: Service remains suspended until further notice.
- No. 139: There will be no service to/from Englishtown, Covered Bridge, Jackson and Stonehurst/Raintree. All service will operate via Route 9.
- No. 194: Service will terminate at Newfoundland. There will be no service to Stockholm Park/Ride.
- No. 197: Service will originate and terminate at Pompton Lakes.
Rail Service: Rail service will be modified this afternoon due to low ridership. Trains may be combined and/or cancelled. In addition:
- Port Jervis Line service remains suspended west of Suffern due to storm damage.
- All other rail lines are subject to 10 to 15 minute delays due to weather conditions and slow boarding at stations.
Access Link: Access Link paratransit service in regions 4, 5 and 6 will be cancelled Saturday, February 27. Access Link customers with existing reservations are being contacted by NJ TRANSIT representatives to reschedule their trips.
To give customers additional travel options, full systemwide cross-honoring will remain in effect until 5 a.m. Saturday, February 27, enabling bus customers to travel on trains or light rail at no additional charge.
In addition, all NJ TRANSIT rail station buildings and waiting rooms will remain open extended hours, including evenings and overnight, until Monday, March 1, due to extreme cold weather conditions.

- Allow plenty of extra travel time. Delays and service changes are possible.
- Use extreme caution when walking on exposed sidewalks, parking lots or station platforms and when boarding trains and buses.
- Listen closely to public address announcements at stations for late-breaking service information.
- If you park, ensure your car is stocked with a snow brush and ice scraper so you can clear your car upon returning to the lot.
- Report slippery or unsafe conditions to bus operators, train crews or NJ TRANSIT staff.
- Local jurisdictions are responsible for clearing bus stops. Local residents can help their neighbors by shoveling the bus stops along the sidewalks near their homes so that people are not standing in the icy streets while traffic is passing.
