NEWARK, NJ — NJ TRANSIT is asking customers in southern New Jersey to help measure how the agency is doing and identify areas that need improvement by taking an online customer satisfaction survey.  Data from the surveys will be used to form a baseline for NJ TRANSIT’s “Scorecard” initiative.

To participate, customers simply visit njtransit.com and complete a brief survey about their experience using NJ TRANSIT.

All customers who participate in the survey will automatically be entered to win one of five free monthly passes.

NJ TRANSIT’s Scorecard will use metrics to set corporate-wide standards of accountability and create transparency for the public, showing the agency’s strengths and weaknesses and providing clear insight into where NJ TRANSIT needs to improve.

As part of Scorecard, NJ TRANSIT will conduct surveys quarterly, marking the first time in the agency’s history that systemwide customer satisfaction surveys will be conducted on a regular, ongoing basis.  The results from the first survey will be posted online this summer.
