NEW JERSEY TRANSIT POLICE TO CONDUCT EMERGENCY RESPONSE DRILL

NEWARK, NJThe New Jersey Transit Police Department (NJTPD) Office of Emergency Management (OEM) will conduct a training exercise on Saturday, November 4, at Hudson-Bergen Light Rail’s Caven Point facility in Jersey City between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.

 

Customers can expect to see an increased police presence along the tracks between Liberty State Park station and Richard St. station.  The drill, which will gauge responses to a simulated incident, will take about five hours to complete.

 

This drill will have no impact on light rail service.

 

This is the latest in a series of periodic drills that the NJTPD’s OEM conducts along the agency’s system every year.
