Overview

The new "go bus" service from NJ TRANSIT will make your trip on Springfield Avenue between Irvington Bus Terminal and Newark Penn Station easier and more convenient than ever. The enhanced commuter bus line, "go bus" serves the 4.8-mile Springfield Avenue and Market Street corridor between Irvington Bus Terminal and Newark Penn Station.

The "go bus" makes 11 stops including:

  • Irvington Bus Terminal
  • Maple Avenue
  • South 18th Street
  • South 10th Street
  • Bergen Street
  • Irvine Turner Boulevard
  • MLK Boulevard (Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard)
  • Washington Street
  • Broad Street
  • Mulberry Street
  • Newark Penn Station
How To Ride

To ride "go bus", board the bus just as you would all other NJ TRANSIT buses. As you enter, pay your fare or show your pass to the driver.

To speed your "go bus" trip, exit the bus using the rear door to allow for faster loading and unloading.

All 11 "go bus" stops are easily identified with special signage. Bus drivers stop only at these locations and will not stop elsewhere.

Schedules and Fares

Service on "go bus" operates every 15 minutes weekdays between Irvington Bus Terminal and Newark Penn Station from 6:30 am to 9:00 am and 3:35 pm to 6:05 pm.

Specific "go bus" service times are highlighted in the bus route number 25 and 25X timetable.

The "go bus" fares are the same as those required for bus route number 25 or 25X.
