Get your train tickets now!

The fastest and easiest way to buy train tickets is by using the NJ TRANSIT Mobile App, available free for your mobile device from the App Store℠ and Google Play™. Tickets can also be purchased at your boarding station from ticket vending machines or at ticket offices at major terminals. Be sure to buy your round-trip tickets before boarding the train to avoid an additional $5.00 charge.  Retain your printed ticket to scan the barcode at Secaucus Junction fare gates, for connecting trains to MetLife Stadium.

Special Military Fares!

NJ TRANSIT is also proud to honor the brave men and women who wear or have worn the uniforms of the United States armed forces by offering a special discount to active-duty military personnel and their dependents, as well as retired veterans.

Simply select the "Senior/Disabled" fare when purchasing a ticket through the NJT mobile app, a ticket vending machine or at a ticket office, and present your valid military or military-dependent ID cards upon request. Veterans with service-connected disabilities may also present a valid Veterans Affairs (VA) identification card which indicates "service connected" to use the one-way reduced ticket option.

Note: Child ticket age 5-11. (Up to three children age 4 and under can travel free with a passenger paying any valid fare.) Senior fare age 62 years of age or older (65 years of age for travel to/from Metro-North stations).

Getting To The Game and Back

Game-day Meadowlands Rail Line service will operate directly to MetLife Stadium from Secaucus Junction, conveniently located minutes away from New York City and served by all major NJ TRANSIT rail lines. 

Train service to the stadium will begin at 11:23 a.m. before the march-on by the Cadets & Midshipmen, and continue to depart for MetLife Stadium every 10-20 minutes between noon and 3:00 p.m. The final MetLife Stadium bound train will depart Secaucus at 4:17 p.m.  Travel time between Secaucus and MetLife Stadium is approximately 13 minutes.

After the game, take Meadowlands Rail Line trains from MetLife Stadium to Secaucus Junction for connections to New York and points throughout New Jersey.  Train service from MetLife Stadium to Secaucus will begin at 12:46 p.m. and once per hour until 5:48pm. Beginning at 6:00 p.m., trains will depart MetLife Stadium every 10 minutes until 7:50 p.m. The last train to leave MetLife Stadium will be at 8:30 p.m. or later if necessary.

To The Game

From New York City

From Penn Station New York, take a Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast Line, Morris & Essex Lines or Montclair-Boonton Line train to Secaucus Junction. Take any NJ TRANSIT train that stops at Secaucus Junction and then transfer to MetLife Stadium-bound trains.  Departure boards at Penn Station New York will display a “(S)” or “SEC” on trains that stop at Secaucus.

From Points Throughout New Jersey

Take any Northeast Corridor,  North Jersey Coast Line, Pascack Valley Line, Main/Bergen County Line, Morris & Essex Lines or Montclair-Boonton Line train to Secaucus Junction. Take any NJ TRANSIT train that stops at Secaucus Junction and then transfer to MetLife Stadium-bound trains.  Raritan Valley Line trains connect with Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast Line trains at Newark Penn Station for service to Secaucus Junction. After arriving at Secaucus, go up to the rotunda, pass through fare gates by scanning the barcode on your ticket. Continue on to Meadowlands Rail Line trains for MetLife Stadium. The connecting ride is approximately 10 minutes. 

After the Game

Take a Meadowlands Rail Line train to Secaucus Junction and then transfer to any NJ TRANSIT train to your final destination. When planning, check train schedules for your connecting trains at Secaucus Junctions and allow for additional time in order to make those connections.

Travel Tips

  • Face coverings are required on board trains, buses and inside stations.
  • Check the train schedules if you are connecting to trains at Secaucus Junctions and allow for additional time in order to make those connections.
  • Important note: The closer you are to the front of the line following the game, the shorter the wait time is for a train to Secaucus. Depending on the number of customers traveling by rail, and where you are on the line to board, some customers may be subject to extended wait times to board trains from MetLife Stadium to Secaucus. 
  • Download the latest version of the NJ TRANSIT mobile app, customize service alert notifications and enable push notifications for updates.
