Metropark Station: Traffic Adjustments – Effective Immediately

Please be advised of the following traffic pattern changes at Metropark Station, due to construction:

  • Passenger Pick-Up and Drop-Off will be located on the ground floor of the West Parking Garage.
  • Taxi and Rideshare will be located on the ground floor of the East Parking Garage.
  • Bus Stop locations will remain the same.
  • Passengers can use elevators located in either parking deck to access Track 1 (trains to Newark/New York).
  • A section of the right, northbound travel lane on Wood Avenue is closed between Middlesex Turnpike and Route 27, to accommodate construction until further notice. The traffic control plan can be found HERE.
  • Beginning Monday, August 18, to enter Metropark Station, all vehicles must use the easternmost road, located between the East and West parking garages. The westernmost road will be limited to exiting traffic only.
  • Access for vehicles using the Passenger Pick-Up/Drop-Off area, as well as commuters parking within the West Parking Deck, must enter through a temporary area located immediately opposite the station building.
  • NJ TRANSIT Police will be present to assist with directing traffic.

During this time, we ask that customers be aware of the construction activity and follow all posted signage. Please allow for extra travel time. We appreciate your patience during this temporary adjustment.
