NEWARK, NJ — NJ TRANSIT will significantly increase the frequency of bus service in Millville along Wade Boulevard and 2nd Street starting Saturday, September 5, by combining the two branches of service that operate today on the No. 408 Millville-Philadelphia line.
In response to customer requests, all No. 408 trips in Millville will now serve 2nd Street south of Main Street and Wade Boulevard. In addition, service will now be provided to the Millville Industrial Park along Orange Street.
Currently the No. 408 route operates as two branches, which serve either 2nd Street south of Main Street or Wade Boulevard every other trip. By combining the two branches in Millville, customers on 2nd Street south of Main Street and on Wade Boulevard will benefit from more frequent service throughout the day, seven days a week, as well as more connections to the 553 line.
“We are pleased that NJ TRANSIT was able to enhance service in the City despite these challenging economic times,” said Millville Mayor J. Tim Shannon. “I encourage Millville residents to take advantage of the more frequent service.”
