Bringing Live Performances to NJ TRANSIT Riders

Since its debut in 2004 as part of NJ TRANSIT’s 25th Anniversary celebration, Music in Motion has been an integral part of our cultural offerings, creating memorable experiences for commuters. After a brief hiatus during the pandemic, we are thrilled to announce the return of this beloved program, designed to enrich your journey with inspiring live performances.

The relaunch of Music in Motion was marked by a special event on September 26th, 2024 at Hoboken Terminal, featuring a free performance by the Emmy- and Grammy-winning New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. This exciting event, was the program's first since 2019, and set the stage for ongoing performances in partnership with the Hoboken Arts Association, turning a daily commute into a cultural experience.

Music in Motion goes beyond entertainment, it's a customer-focused initiative aims to enhance the overall travel experience. Looking ahead, we are committed to expanding the program to other major stations across the state, providing even more opportunities for our riders to connect with the arts and enjoy live music during their journeys.
