NJ TRANSIT TO PROVIDE RAIL SERVICE FOR INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONS CUP

Customers encouraged to plan ahead and carefully check rail schedules for service after the event

NEWARK, NJ -- Soccer fans can sit back and ride the rails as NJ TRANSIT will provide rail shuttle service for the International Champions Cup match between Manchester City and Liverpool F.C. this Wednesday, July 25.

 

All MetLife Stadium rail trips are served via rail shuttle trains to/from Secaucus Junction and Meadowlands Rail Station. There is no direct rail service to Meadowlands Station from any other rail line or station (including Hoboken).  All customers must change trains at Secaucus.

Service to MetLife Stadium from Secaucus will begin at 5:34 p.m. The final Meadowlands-bound train will depart from Secaucus at 8:30 p.m.

 

Customers are strongly advised to plan ahead and carefully check rail schedules for service from Secaucus to Penn Station New York and Hoboken Terminal after the event.

 

The last train from the Meadowlands Sports Complex will not depart Meadowlands Station any earlier than 12:01 a.m. in the event the game ends early.

 

Customers connecting with trains at Secaucus should check their train schedules and allow for additional time in order to make those connections.

 

Customers traveling on NJ TRANSIT trains to the Meadowlands Sports Complex should purchase their round-trip tickets from their originating station TO MEADOWLANDS STATION to avoid delays boarding trains. Tickets purchased on the train will include a $5 surcharge for each ticket.

 

NJ TRANSIT MyTix customers can also use the mobile app to conveniently purchase tickets to the Meadowlands Sports Complex. Mobile tickets include a barcode to scan for access through the fare gates. Select Meadowlands as the destination for events at MetLife Stadium. The NJ TRANSIT mobile app is available free from the App Store and Google Play.

  • Purchase round-trip tickets in advance to avoid potentially long lines.
  • Use the MyTix feature on NJ TRANSIT’s mobile app for a seamless experience.
