NEWARK, NJ, October 31, 2001 -- NJ TRANSIT customers can save $3 off admission to select basketball games at Madison Square Garden in New York City this season. Discounted tickets ($23.50 and $33.50) are currently on sale for the following games:

November 8 (Ikon Classic): Temple vs. Florida/Arizona vs. Maryland

November 9 (Ikon Classic): Championship Doubleheader

November 10: Harlem Globetrotters vs. St. John's

November 21 (17th Annual Pre-Season NIT): Semifinal Doubleheader

November 23 (17th Annual Pre-Season NIT):Championship Doubleheader

December 1 (Marty Glickman Classic): Iona vs. Hofstra/Fordham vs. St. John's

December 8 (Foot Locker MAAC Challenge): DePaul vs. Fairfield/St. John's vs. Manhattan

December 22: Wake Forest vs. St. John's/Northwestern vs. Fordham

December 27: (MSG Holiday Festival): Manhattan vs. Fordham/Iona vs. Seaton Hall

March 26 (65th Annual NIT): Semifinal Doubleheader

March 28 (65th Annual NIT): Championship Doubleheader

April 4: McDonald's All American High School Game

To receive a discount, NJ TRANSIT customers should request code "NJT" when purchasing/ordering tickets. Tickets are available at The Garden Box Office (7th Avenue and 32nd Street), Ticketmaster outlets or Ticketmaster charge-by-phone (212-307-7171).

Some restrictions do apply; this offer is not valid for the BIG EAST Championship and St. John's vs. UCONN game. A $3.50 facility surcharge is included in all ticket prices. Ticket master purchases are subject a Ticketmaster service charge. This offer is subject to availability and may not be combined with any other offer. Tickets are not refundable or exchangeable and are not valid on previously purchased tickets. There is a limit to eight tickets per event.

NJ TRANSIT also offers a Weekend Family Super Saver Fare for those travelling to the event. The Super Saver Fare allows two children 11 and under to travel free with each fare paying adult. Senior citizen and round trip excursion tickets will be valid without restriction throughout the period.
