Newark Broad Street Station: Westbound Elevator Temporarily Out of Service for Repairs - Beginning Late October 2021

Beginning in late October 2021 and continuing for approximately one month, the westbound elevator at Newark Broad Street Station will be temporarily out of service for modernization and repairs. 

During this time, the westbound platform at Newark Broad Street Station will not be ADA accessible. 

Customers requiring accessible services may consider the following alternate travel options:

  • Traveling FROM Newark Broad Street Station to points west (e.g., Summit/Dover): Board an eastbound train to Secaucus Junction and then transfer to a westbound train to your destination.
  • Traveling TO Newark Broad Street Station from points east (e.g., New York): Remain on the train to East Orange Station, and then transfer to an eastbound train to Newark Broad Street Station.

Customers may also wish to utilize nearby accessible stations such as East Orange.
