Bus Detour for No. 194 in Wayne - Effective Immediately

Effective immediately and continuing Sunday, July 4, the ramp to Newark Pompton Turnpike will be closed between Rt. 23 North and Old Newark Pompton Turnpike for road work. During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 194 in Wayne will operate on a detour as follows:

  • Buses traveling toward Stockholm will travel from Rt. 23 North and the ramp to Newark Pompton Turnpike, continue on Rt. 23 North, use the U-turn, make a left on Rt. 23 South, right on Packanack Lake Road, right on Newark Pompton Turnpike, and then continue the regular route.

Note: Bus stops may be lost during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully, and allow for extra travel time.

We appreciate your patience as we accommodate this temporary routing adjustment.

NJ TRANSIT has resumed front-door bus boarding and cash fare collection on buses with protective barriers installed around the operator. Buses without protective barriers will continue to board from the rear, and cash collection will remain suspended.
