Bus Route No. 605: Travel Details during Alexander Road Closure for Bridge Replacement Project - Beginning Wednesday, November 6, 2019
October 29, 2019

Beginning Wednesday, November 6, Alexander Road/street between Lawrence Drive and Canal Pointe Blvd. will close for approximately 6 months while the New Jersey Department of Transportation and Mercer County replace two aging bridges and a steam culvert.

Getting to Princeton Junction & back:

  • The new Bus timetable, effective Saturday, November 2, will make detour accommodations for this project on Bus Route No. 605. Click HERE for more information on the Bus schedule changes for southern bus routes.
  • From Princeton Junction, NJ TRANSIT provides Northeast Corridor service between New York where connecting service is available on Amtrak, New York City Subway, and the Long Island Rail Road and Trenton where connecting service is available on SEPTA, Amtrak and the River LINE Light Rail to Camden.
  • The Dinky runs from early morning to late night, and its schedule is timed to connect with Northeast Corridor trains. The Dinky can wait a couple of minutes beyond scheduled departure, but waiting too long would cause cascading delays in the Dinky's schedule.
  • The Dinky connects downtown Princeton and the Princeton University campus with Princeton Junction Station on the Northeast Corridor, the train superhighway connecting Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Washington, DC. Visit njtransit.com/dinky for further details.
