New bus schedules will take effect Saturday, January 12 and Saturday, January 26 on several NJ TRANSIT bus routes.
Please note the following service changes:
Beginning Saturday, January 12:
Nos. 11, 40, 65, 70, 73, 76, 79 Weekdays, Saturdays & Sundays – Seasonal service has been removed and minor changes to regular service trip times will occur.
No. 34 Weekdays – Service from Montclair Center to Newark will now begin at 5:30 a.m.
No. 59 Weekdays & Sundays – Select trips have been extended to Cranford, Roselle, the Elmora section of Elizabeth and Newark to reduce crowding and provide additional travel options.
No. 78/378 Weekdays – Trip times in the afternoon have been adjusted to better serve employees’ shift times.
Nos. 107, 112, 114X, 115 & 116 – Weekdays: Additional early AM service to New York has been added, and trip times have been adjusted.
No. 113 Weekdays, Saturdays & Sundays – Schedules have been adjusted to better reflect operating conditions.
Bus No. 123 Weekends – New Saturday and Sunday schedules added with several additional trips throughout the day. Please consult your timetable for more information.
No. 126 Weekdays, Saturdays & Sundays – Additional peak period service on weekdays and throughout the day on weekends will operate.
No. 130 Weekdays – GATE CHANGE: All service after 7 p.m. will continue to operate from Gate 322. There are no changes to the scheduled times or changes in the current gate assignments prior to 7 p.m.
No. 137 Weekdays – In response to passenger requests and to enhance commuter options, the 1:30 p.m. departure from Gate 319 will make an added stop at both the Brick and Dorado Park & Rides before operating express to Toms River.
No. 139 Weekdays – Service in the AM has been adjusted to ease overcrowding. GATE CHANGE: All local service after 7 p.m. (except the 7:20 p.m. departure to Old Bridge Park & Ride, which will continue to leave from Gate 324) will now operate from Gate 321.
Bus Nos. 156 & 159 Weekdays – Adjustments have been made throughout the day in both directions to help improve connectivity and reliability.
No. 158 Weekdays – Additional AM service added in the inbound direction.
No. 161 Weekdays & Sundays – On weekdays, a 10:40 p.m. trip departing the PABT has been added to schedule. On Sundays, adjustments will be made throughout the day in both directions to help improve on-time performance.
No. 163 Weekdays – In order to enhance the customer experience, two additional PM trips have been added at 6:42 p.m. and 6:48 p.m. Also, the 11:15 p.m. Friday only trip will now operate five days a week.
No. 165 Saturdays – Minor changes made to select-trip start times. Please consult your timetable for more information.
No. 166 Daily – On weekdays, an additional T trip has been added at 6:23 a.m. On weekends, additional service has been added tothe AM inbound schedule. Please review timetable for more information as many trip times have changed.
Nos. 167 & 177 Weekdays – All Friday-only service will now operate five days a week.
No. 190 Weekdays – At the request of our customers, an additional R trip has been added to the early AM schedule.
Nos. 315 and 319 – Schedules will be adjusted due to the long-term Townsends Inlet Bridge detour.
No. 320 Weekdays – The schedule has been adjusted throughout the day to better match ridership demands and improve on time performance and connectivity.
Nos. 501, 502, 509, 553 and 559 – Weekday, Saturday and Sunday schedules will be adjusted to improve on-time performance.
Beginning Saturday, January 26:
Nos. 315 – Schedules will be adjusted due to the long-term Townsends Inlet Bridge detour (see the 313/315 timetable dated January 12, 2019).
No. 400 – Selected trips will be adjusted to operate via Bellmawr Industrial Park to meet overnight shifts within the park. Late night service will be adjusted to provide more frequent service.
Nos. 405, 407, 554, 601, 603/613, 606, 608, 609 and 619 – Weekday, Saturday and Sunday schedules will be adjusted to improve on-time performance.
No. 406 – All trips via Marlton will be adjusted to operate via Main Street in Marlton. Service via Route 73, between Brick Road and Route 70 in Marlton, will be discontinued due to low ridership. On weekdays, selected trips will be adjusted to provide more service between Lincoln Drive and Berlin.
No. 407 – Service via Midlantic Drive in Moorestown will be expanded to operate throughout the day and on Saturdays and Sundays. This will provide daily access throughout the day to Centerton Square and Midlantic Drive.
No. 459 – Service via Gibbsboro will be eliminated due to low ridership.
No. 611 – The midday service operating from the Trenton Transit Center will be added.
No. 624 – Selected midday trips will be adjusted to skip the Justice Complex.
