UPDATE: River LINE to Resume Regular Weekday Service - Monday, June 10, 2019


UPDATES:

River LINE has resumed regular weekday service on Monday, June 10. See below for service updates.

Special express bus service to continue to supplement River LINE service to enhance capacity

NJ TRANSIT River LINE light rail service will resume regular weekday service on Monday June 10 following rigorous, around-the-clock testing and inspections of vehicle wheels over the last 48 hours. A sufficient number of vehicles have successfully passed the safety inspections to resume regular weekday service on Monday.  Special express shuttle bus service will operate between the four highest ridership stations along the River LINE (Trenton Transit Center, Florence, Beverly/Edgewater Park and Walter Rand Transportation Center) during the morning and afternoon peak periods to enhance capacity (see details below). Regular weekend service resumed on Saturday.

FREQUENCY OF SPECIAL EXPRESS SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE (WEEKDAYS):       

  • Express bus service between Trenton, Florence, Beverly/Edgewater Park, & WRTC will operate in both directions with the frequency shown below (approximate):
    • Every 30 minutes between 5:45 a.m.  - 8:30a.m.
    • Every 30 minutes between 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.

FARES:                                                          

  • All River LINE monthly passes and one-way tickets, as well as any NJ TRANSIT monthly bus passes and tickets will be accepted on board the express shuttle bus.

 

 

Customers are strongly advised to download NJ TRANSIT’smobile app and activate push notifications to receive alerts directly to their phones.  Customers can also sign up for MyTransit alerts to receive information via email or text, or monitor njtransit.com and the Twitter feeds @NJTRANSIT and @NJTRANSIT_RL to stay informed of the status of the River LINE system.
