PTC - Continued Service Adjustments to Advance Positive Train Control
To continue accelerating the installation of the federally-mandated Positive Train Control (PTC) equipment on its rail fleet, a final set of rail service adjustments temporarily remain in place on certain Rail lines.
Important Note: Customers are strongly encouraged to view the full Rail Timetables for all travel options on their line as schedule adjustments, including departure/arrival times and station stops, have been made throughout the system.
Morris & Essex Lines (M&E)
- Gladstone Branch: All weekend Gladstone Branch Rail service will be replaced by buses.
Raritan Valley Line (RVL)
- Off-peak, one-seat service on the RVL to Penn Station New York remains temporarily suspended. Trains will terminate and originate at Newark Penn Station, and RVL customers must transfer to/from New York trains at Newark Penn Station.
