Important Note to all NJ TRANSIT Rail Customers


As NJ TRANSIT works to complete the installation and certification process of Positive Train Control (PTC) on our diesel locomotives, we are maximizing the use of all of our available equipment as much as possible. Consequently, customers may encounter a train where a cab car is positioned in front of a locomotive. Due to safety and operational reasons, this cab car will not be accessible to customers.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience as we continuously work to advance the federally mandated PTC project.
