Plainfield Station: Outbound (Westbound) Elevator Temporarily Out of Service - Effective Immediately
Effective immediately and continuing until further notice, the outbound (westbound) platform elevator at Plainfield Station is temporarily out of service for moderninzation.
Ramps are available on both the inbound and outbound platforms at Plainfield Station.
During this time, customers requiring accessible services may consider the following travel options.
- Traveling TO Plainfield Station from points east (e.g., Newark/New York): Remain on the train to Somerville Station and then transfer to an inbound train to Plainfield.
- Traveling FROM Plainfield Station to points west (e.g., Raritan/High Bridge): Take an inbound train to Westfield Station and then transfer to an outbound train to your destination.
- NJ TRANSIT buses provide service near Plainfield Station, including Nos. 59, 113, 114 and 822. Check the Bus Schedules page for further details.
