Plainfield Station: Inbound (Eastbound) Elevator Temporarily Out of Service for Repairs - Beginning Wednesday, March 6, 2019
Beginning Wednesday, March 6 and continuing until further notice, the inbound (eastbound) platform elevator at Plainfield Station will be temporarily out of service for modernization and upgrades.
Ramps are available on both the inbound and outbound platforms at Plainfield Station.
During this time, customers requiring accessible services may consider the following travel options.
- Traveling TO Plainfield Station from points west (e.g., High Bridge/Raritan): Remain on the train to Westfield Station and then transfer to an outbound (westbound) train to Plainfield Station.
- Traveling FROM Plainfield Station to points east (e.g., Newark/New York): Take an outbound (westbound) train to Somerville Station and then transfer to an inbound (eastbound) train to your destination.
- NJ TRANSIT buses provide service near Plainfield Station, including Nos. 59, 113, 114 and 822. Check the Bus Schedules page for further details.
