South Orange: Eastbound (Inbound) Elevator Temporarily Out of Service - Wednesday, December 5, 2018 to Friday, January 18, 2019


Beginning on or around Wednesday, December 5 and continuing until approximately Friday, January 18, the inbound (eastbound) elevator at South Orange Station is temporarily out of service for repairs.

During this time, customers requiring accessible services may consider the following travel options:

Rail Options:

  • Traveling TO South Orange Station from points west (e.g., Gladstone/Summit): Remain on the train to Newark Broad Street Station and then transfer to an outbound train to South Orange. 
  • Traveling FROM South Orange Station to points east (e.g., Newark/New York): Take an outbound train to Summit and then transfer to an inbound train to your destination.

Bus Options:

  • NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 92  and No. 107 provide daily service at South Orange Station (Sloan and 2nd streets).Visit the Bus Schedules page for further details.
