UPDATE: Bay Street Station: Inbound (Eastbound) Elevator Temporarily Out of Service for Upgrades and Modernization - Effective Immediately

Effective immediately and continuing until on or about Monday, December 17, the inbound (eastbound) elevator at Bay Street Station will be temporarily closed for equipment upgrades and modernization.

During this outage, customers requiring accessible services may consider the following travel options:

  • Use elevator adjacent to the parking deck

  • Use ramp from inbound platform

Rail Options:

  • Traveling FROM Bay Street Station to points east (e.g. Newark/New York): Board an outbound train from Bay Street Station and transfer to an inbound train at Montclair Heights Station to your destination.

  • Traveling TO Bay Street Station from points west (e.g. Denville/Dover): Remain on the train to Newark Broad Street Station, and then transfer to an outbound  train to Bay Street Station.
