REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS Hackensack Bus Terminal Retail Concession

NJ TRANSIT is interested in receiving Expressions of Interest from an experienced, financially sound individual or entity to operate a retail concession at Hackensack Bus Terminal.

Hackensack Bus Terminal is a major transportation station that services two of NJ TRANSIT’s busiest bus zones, Newark and Secaucus. Hackensack Bus Terminal located at 125 River Street, Hackensack, County of Bergen, and is in close proximity to businesses, restaurants, retail, and residential areas of the city.

A retail space of approximately 133 square feet is available for lease within the Terminal.

Proposals may use retail space preferably for, but not limited to, quality grab-and-go food items, a newsstand and coffee concession to provide comfort, convenience and value to the traveling public, all the while providing excellent customer service and maximizing NJ TRANSIT revenue. Proposers shall also be required to operate as a Certified Ticket Agent in the Terminal.

Selection of a Lessee(s) will be based upon review of proposals submitted to NJ TRANSIT in response to a Request for Proposal package issued to parties submitting an Expression of Interest.
