REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS South Orange Station Leasing Opportunity

NJ TRANSIT is interested in receiving Expressions of Interest from experienced, financially sound individuals or entities for the operation of a concession stand at South Orange Station.

The Station is situated on the Morris & Essex Line offering Midtown Direct service to New York City along with connections to Hoboken Terminal and Secaucus Junction. This location also sees much pedestrian traffic as it is located adjacent to several retail shops, as well as a downtown area.

The concession is located just off the main waiting room which provides access to both inbound and outbound sides of the tracks. The available space is approximately 80 sq. ft.  Proposers should include additional improvements and designs that will complement the station environment.

Proposers may use retail space preferably for, but not limited to, quality grab-and-go food items and soft drinks, to provide comfort, convenience and value to the traveling public, all the while providing excellent customer service and maximizing NJ TRANSIT revenue.

Selection of a Lessee(s) will be based upon review of proposals submitted to NJ TRANSIT in response to a Request for Proposal package issued to parties submitting an Expression of Interest.
