To Construction Contractors Interested In NJ TRANSIT Contracts:
Please be advised that on or about November 30, 2009, in an effort to promote greater efficiency and standardization, NJ Transit will begin a transition to the procurement of all of its construction contracts exclusively through an electronic bidding system, BID EXPRESS, the on-line bidding exchange.
The transition will begin with State-funded construction contracts. Federally-funded construction contracts will follow. Construction contracts will continue to be publicly advertised and each contract advertisement will specify whether BID EXPRESS system is being used.
Please note that Contractors must be registered with BID EXPRESS in order to bid NJ TRANSIT construction contracts using that system. Contractors that are currently registered with BID EXPRESS to bid NJDOT or any other public construction project do not require further registration, only an additional digital ID. Interested contractors can register with BID EXPRESS at www.bidx.com. Thank you for your interest in NJ TRANSIT projects.
