‘EARLY GETAWAY’ BUS SERVICE TO OPERATE ON FRIDAY, APRIL 6

NEWARK, NJ — NJ TRANSIT will offer “early getaway” bus service on Friday, April 6, from the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York for the benefit of customers observing Passover and Good Friday.  In addition, families can take advantage of savings all weekend long through NJ TRANSIT’s Family Super Saver Fare, which allows up to two children 11 and younger to travel free with each fare-paying adult. 

 

On Friday, April 6, NJ TRANSIT rail and light rail lines will operate on a weekday schedule.  Bus schedules vary by route—customers are advised to check their timetables or visit njtransit.com for schedule information.  Selected routes will operate on special holiday schedules to match service with customer demand, including early getaway service from the Port Authority Bus Terminal starting around 1 p.m. Visit njtransit.com for special holiday timetables.   

 

On Friday, April 6, extra trips will operate on the following bus routes:

  • No. 158 Fort Lee-Edgewater-New York
  • No. 161 Paterson-Passaic-New York
  • No. 162 Maywood-New York
  • No. 163 Ridgewood-New York
  • No. 164 Midland Park-Fair Lawn-New York
  • No. 165 Westwood-New York
  • No. 166 Cresskill-Bergenfield-New York
  • No. 167 Harrington Park-Teaneck-New York
  • No. 177 Harrington Park-New Milford-New York
  • No. 190 Paterson-Rutherford-New York
  • No. 192 Clifton-New York
  • No. 193 Willowbrook-New York
  • No. 194 Stockholm-West Milford-New York
  • No. 197 Warwick-Wayne-New York

 

On weekends and holidays, kids ride free on NJT

 

For Good Friday/Passover, NJ TRANSIT’s Family Super Saver Fare, which allows up to two children 11 and younger to travel free with each fare-paying adult, will be in effect from 7 p.m. Thursday, April 5 until 6 a.m. Monday, April 9.
