NJ TRANSIT EXTENDS BUS ROUTE TO MOUNTAIN CREEK SKI RESORT
Seasonal service starting December 26 includes Wayne stop

NEWARK, NJ — NJ TRANSIT is making it easy to hit the slopes this winter by extending the No. 194 bus route with express service between the Port Authority Bus Terminal and Mountain Creek ski resort in Vernon, with stops in Wayne.
No. 194 buses operating to Mountain Creek will serve the Willowbrook Mall Park & Ride lot and Shoppers Stop in Wayne daily from December 26 to January 1 and on the weekend of January 5 and 6.
From Saturday, January 12 through March 2, the 194 route will provide express weekend and major holiday service to the resort, stopping at the new Wayne/Route 23 Transit Center instead of Willowbrook Mall.
Buses will depart PABT Gate 326 at 7:30 a.m., board passengers in Wayne (Willowbrook Mall or the Wayne/Route 23 Transit Center) at 8 a.m. and arrive at Mountain Creek at 9:12 a.m. The return trip will depart Mountain Creek at 4:30 p.m., stop in Wayne (Willowbrook Mall or Wayne/Route 23 Transit Center) at 5:40 p.m. and arrive at the Port Authority Bus Terminal at 6:12 p.m. These express buses will not make local stops.
Roundtrip fare from the Port Authority Bus Terminal is $20.50 (two $10.25 one-way tickets) for adults and $9 roundtrip (two one-way $4.50 tickets) for children ages 5-11, seniors and customers with disabilities.
From Willowbrook Mall or the new Wayne/Route 23 Transit Center (which opens January 12), roundtrip fare is $8.70 for adults (two one-way $4.35 tickets) and $4.00 for children ages 5-11, seniors and customers with disabilities.
- Customers boarding in New York must purchase their round-trip tickets prior to boarding the bus at PABT ticket windows or at Ticket Vending Machines. Customers boarding in New Jersey may purchase tickets at the Wayne/Route 23 Transit Center ticket vending machines or from the bus operator.
- Ten-trip tickets or monthly passes for 11 interstate zones of travel are valid for trips from New York, while 10-trip tickets or monthly passes for six intrastate zones will be accepted for travel in New Jersey only.
- Limited space is available in the luggage compartment under the bus for skis and other equipment.
- Please arrive at the departure location 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure time.
