NJ TRANSIT ADDS TRAINS FOR AIR SHOW

Three trips added to Atlantic City Line schedule for popular event

NEWARK, NJ NJ TRANSIT is offering spectators a convenient way to get to and from the 2007 Atlantic City Air Show tomorrow with three additional train trips supplementing the regular weekday schedule.

The free show, with military and civilian aircraft performances, starts at 10:30 a.m. and continues throughout the day. Spectators will be able to see the flights from any location along the Atlantic City beach or boardwalk, just five blocks from the rail terminal.

In the morning, two additional trains will make trips to the Atlantic City Rail Terminal:

Train 4509 Depart Cherry Hill at 7:42 a.m., Lindenwold 7:54 a.m., Atco 8:02 a.m., Hammonton 8:15 a.m., Egg Harbor City 8:26 a.m., Absecon 8:38 a.m. and arrive at Atlantic City 8:50 a.m.

Train 4401 Depart Hammonton 10:00 a.m., Egg Harbor City 10:12 a.m., Absecon 10:22 a.m. and arrive Atlantic City 10:35 a.m.

In the afternoon, an additional train will operate for spectators making their way home, serving all stations from Atlantic City to Cherry Hill:

Train 4518 Depart Atlantic City 4:01 p.m., Absecon 4:10 p.m., Egg Harbor City 4:21 p.m., Hammonton 4:32 p.m., Atco 4:45 p.m. Lindenwold 4:53 p.m. and arrive Cherry Hill at 5:08 p.m.

These trips will supplement the 28 Atlantic City Line trains that operate weekdays between Atlantic City and 30th St. Station in Philadelphia (14 in each direction).

NJ TRANSIT is the nation's largest statewide public transportation system providing nearly 857,000 weekday trips on 240 bus routes, three light rail lines and 11 commuter rail lines. It is the third largest transit system in the country with 162 rail stations, 60 light rail stations and more than 18,000 bus stops linking major points in New Jersey, New York and Philadelphia.
