NEWARK, NJ -- Been naughty or nice?

NJ TRANSIT customers better make up their minds quickly because Santa Claus is coming to several River LINE stations during the holiday season. Santa’s 90-minute visits will begin at 7 p.m. at the following stations:

  • Walter Rand Transportation Center on Tuesday, December 7
  • 36th Street Station on Tuesday, December 9
  • Trenton Rail Station on Tuesday, December 14
  • Burlington South Station on Saturday, December 18

The 34-mile River LINE, which began operations in March 2004, serves 13 communities with 20 stations from Trenton to Camden.

NJ TRANSIT now offers expanded Capital Connection shuttle service between the Trenton River LINE station, downtown Trenton and the State House. In June, the River LINE began 15-minute peak-period departures, increasing service from 76 to 105 weekday roundtrips and extending the evening rush hour schedule to 8 p.m.

NJ TRANSIT is the nation's largest statewide public transportation system providing more than 752,600 daily trips on 240 bus routes, three light rail lines and 11 commuter rail lines. It is the third largest transit system in the country with 163 rail stations, 52 light rail stations and more than 17,000 bus stops linking major points in New Jersey, New York and Philadelphia.
