NJ TRANSIT announces Ride & Save discounts to NYC destinations

NEWARK, NJ — For a comfortable and convenient trip into and out of New York, tens of thousands of visitors know that NJ TRANSIT is the way to go. Today, just in time for the holidays, NJ TRANSIT announced an array of promotions and discounts to exciting New York City destinations including Radio City Music Hall, Planet Hollywood, the Empire State Building, Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum, Ringley Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus, World Yacht Dinner Cruises, the Manhattan Mall and several Broadway and off-Broadway shows including Chicago, Phantom of the Opera, Monty Python’s Spamalot, Eve-Olution and Dame Edna: Back with a Vengeance.

Customers can take $10 off admission to select performances now through January 2 simply by mentioning code “NJT” when purchasing tickets at the Radio City Box Office or by calling Ticketmaster at (212) 307-1000.

Now is also a great time to see “The Phantom of the Opera,” a Broadway show that has captivated audiences around the world. NJ TRANSIT customers can save $45 on select performances, now through December 31. The world famous wax museum gives visitors a chance to make Jennifer Lopez blush, come face to knee with The Hulk and experience life with the Osbourne family. Do you want a birds-eye view of New York City? You can have it when you visit the city’s most famous and historic landmark, the Empire State Building. Situated in the heart of midtown Manhattan on 34th Street – a short walk from New York Penn Station and the Port Authority Bus Terminal – New York’s tallest building soars more than a quarter of a mile into atmosphere. NJ TRANSIT customers may receive $2 off admission prices when they present a discount coupon along with a NJ TRANSIT bus, rail ticket, pass or transportation receipt.

Couples can save $30 onboard the World Yacht by mentioning NJ TRANSIT when making reservations. Or, if you’d prefer to take to the water for a sightseeing cruise, there’s the Circle Line. “Kids Ride Free on NJT”

For maximum savings, customers may combine these discounts with NJ TRANSIT’s Family Super Saver Fare, which allows two children 11 and under to travel free with each fare-paying adult. The offer is available every weekend from 7 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Monday. Over the Thanksgiving holiday, the offer will be in effect from 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24 until 6 a.m. Monday, Nov. 29, making NJ TRANSIT an outstanding value. Senior citizen and round-trip excursion tickets will also be valid without restriction throughout the period.

NJ TRANSIT offers direct, frequent service to New York Penn Station from points along the Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast Line, Montclair-Boonton Line and Morris & Essex Lines. Connecting service to New York is available at Secaucus Junction for customers on the Main, Bergen and Pascack Valley lines. Connecting service is available at Newark Penn Station for customers on the Raritan Valley Line.
