NEWARK, NJ — As of 8:00 p.m., NJ TRANSIT trains are operating on- or close to schedule into and out of New York Penn Station. The Corporation expects a regular commute tomorrow, Tuesday, September 28.
During the disruption, caused by a fire in one of four Amtrak tunnels under the East River, NJ TRANSIT deployed hundreds of customer service representatives to key locations, including New York Penn Station, Hoboken Terminal and Newark Penn Station to assist customers.
