NJ TRANSIT TO CELEBRATE OPENING OF RAMSEY ROUTE 17 STATION & 1,200 PARKING SPOTS
 August 19, 2004 NJT-04-014 NEWARK, NJ – Ramsey Mayor Richard Muti will herald a new era in commuting convenience at a ribbon-cutting event to celebrate the opening of NJ TRANSIT’s new Ramsey Route 17 Station and the more than 1,200 parking services that will soon come online there. Arriving at the station by train, Mayor Muti will be welcomed by NJ TRANSIT Executive Director George D. Warrington and Dalmatian “See More” Spots, the star of NJ TRANSIT’s marketing campaign to promote Ramsey’s new parking deck. The Ramsey Route 17 station, located on the Main Line between the current Ramsey (Main Street) and Mahwah stations, is scheduled to open Sunday, August 22. NJ TRANSIT will offer free parking at the station through September 30. Thereafter, parking will be $4 weekdays before 10 a.m., and $2 after 10 a.m. and on weekends.
