Vacant Land Parcel for Lease

Block 14, Parts of Lots 27, 28, 33, 35, & 55

 

NJ TRANSIT is interested in receiving Expressions of Interest from experienced, financially sound individuals or entities to enter into a Lease Agreement for a vacant parcel of land located on the southwest corner of Lombardy Street and McCarter Highway in Newark, New Jersey.

 

The parcel of land is approximately 20,803 square feet, to be accessed from Lombardy Street. NJ TRANSIT seeks to Lease the property for a limited development use, such as parking.

 

The parcel of land is located in the heart of city’s rejuvenated downtown District, adjacent to Newark’s Light Rail System which provides direct access to Newark Penn Station and Newark Broad Street Station, and within short walking distance of the city’s primary business locations, including the corporate headquarters of Audible, Prudential, Panasonic, Public Service Enterprise Group (‘PSE&G’), alongside the One Gateway commercial and retail Center, St. Michael’s Medical Center, several major universities, and the city’s premier entertainment Arenas, the Prudential Center and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (‘NJPAC’).

No telephone Expressions of Interest will be accepted.
