To participate as a DBE in NJ TRANSIT's Federally funded projects, a firm must complete the Unified Certification Affidavit. Also, to participate in NJ TRANSIT's State funded projects, a firm must complete the NJ Commerce and Economic Growth Commission's SBE registration process.

NJ TRANSIT recognizes certification from Federally assisted agencies whose DBE programs are regulated by US DOT regulation 49 CFR Part 26.

The Unified Certification Program form is in compliance with state and federal regulations. Its purpose is to help NJ TRANSIT determine the qualification of businesses to participate in federally funded contracts as disadvantaged business enterprises. Any proprietary information collected will be protected to the extent allowable by law.
