NEWARK PENN STATION SUBSTATION REPLACMENT

Project Scope:

This project includes the replacement of major components to modernize the substation.

Project Cost:

Approximately $6,000,000.

Schedule:

Anticipated completion – Fall 2011

Benefits:

The substation was installed in 1930s when the Newark Penn Station was originally built.  Its function is to provide electric power for the facility’s operations.  The project will update and upgrade its functionality.
