This project involves the acquisition of 35 dual powered locomotives.

The locomotives will be able to operate on both electrified and non-electrified territories. In electrified territory, propulsion will be via catenary. On non-electrified lines, diesel engines will be used. These locomotives will provide a level of flexibility that can improve and facilitate operations.
