Approximately $410,000,000.

Delivery date of first Dual Power locomotive – Spring 2011
Delivery date of 35th Dual Power locomotive – Winter 2012
Benefits:
The locomotives will be able to operate on both electrified and non-electrified territories. In electrified territory, propulsion will be via catenary. On non-electrified lines, diesel engines will be used. These locomotives will provide a level of flexibility that can improve and facilitate operations.
