NEWARK LIGHT RAIL DAVENPORT AVENUE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT (ADA) ACCESS IMPROVEMENTS
Project Scope:
This project involves the demolition to the existing overhead pedestrian walkway and stairs. A ramp with grade crossing and new tactile edging will be installed in place of the walkway. New lighting and shelters will also be installed.
Project Cost:
Approximately $2,000,000.
Schedule:
Anticipated completion – Spring 2012
Benefits:
The ramp improvements at the station will make the station fully accessible for riders with special mobility needs. New lighting and shelters will help to make the station more secure and convenient for waiting passengers
