HUDSON BERGEN LIGHT RAIL 2ND STREET ESPLANADE
The project is the construction of an approximately half-mile pedestrian pathway from the site of a planned residential development at the junction of Hoboken Avenue and Newark Avenue in Jersey City to the 2nd Street Station of the HBLR in Hoboken. The pathway will also feature lighting, landscaping, CCTV and call-for-aid boxes.
Anticipated completion – Summer 2012
The pathway will facilitate use of the light rail station by the residents of the proposed development. It is also being designed for use by cyclists; helping to promote a green transit alternative.
