HUDSON BERGEN LIGHT RAIL 2ND STREET ESPLANADE

Project Scope:

The project is the construction of a half-mile pedestrian pathway from the site of a planned residential development at the junction of Hoboken Avenue and Newark Avenue in Jersey City to the 2nd Street Station of the HBLR in Hoboken.  Among other elements, the pathway will feature lighting, landscaping, CCTV and other security and customer amenities.Project Cost:

 

Approximately $4,000,000.

The pathway will help facilitate use of the light rail station by the public and offer expanded access to the system. It is also being designed for use by cyclists; helping to promote a green transit alternative.
