Project Scope:

Work includes the construction of a new enclosed, climate controlled waiting room on the platform at the end of the tunnel to the PATCO station; a new open faced shelter reflecting the architectural aesthetic of the nearby Cherry Hill Station; a similarly designed entrance to the tunnel from the parking lot; repairs to the platform, including installation of a tactile warning strip and new lighting.

Project Cost:

Approximately $4,000,000.

Anticipated completion – summer 2014

The station is an important connection between NJ TRANSIT’s Atlantic City Rail Line and the PATCO system, operated by the Delaware Rive Port Authority – a bi-state agency.  The project will make the station more comfortable for waiting passengers and further facilitate transferring between transit systems.
