RIDGEWOOD STATION HIGH LEVEL PLATFORMS

Project Scope:

This project involves the construction of high-level platforms and other improvements to make the Ridgewood station on the Main & Bergen Line ADA accessible.  It includes the construction of a center island high-level platform and a high-level inbound side platform with elevators serving each.  Track, switch, communications and signal work to accommodate the construction of the new high-level platforms will also be performed

Project Cost:

Approximately $41,000,000.

Schedule:

Anticipated completion – Winter 2011

Benefits:

Riders with mobility needs will benefit from the station’s new platforms and ramps as well as improvements to interior restrooms.  The improvements will also enhance the station’s position in the community as a pedestrian connection from nearby residential developments to the downtown.
