UPDATE: Newark Light Rail: Boarding Changes due to Construction Work - September 29-30, 2012

NJ TRANSIT will perform necessary track maintenance on the following dates:

UPDATE: Boarding Changes for Saturday, September 29 and Sunday, September 30, 2012

Saturday, September 29 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • All trains will arrive on the inbound platform at NJPAC/Center Street, Washington Park, Broad Street, Military Park, Washington Street, Warren Street and Norfolk Street stations. Please check the destination sign before boarding.
  • Outbound platforms will be closed at NJPAC/Center Street, Atlantic Street, Riverfront Stadium, Broad Street, Military Park, Washington Street and Warren Street stations.
  • IMPORTANT: All trains will operate in two sections on a modified Sunday Schedule as follows:
  • Grove Street - Penn Station
  • Penn Station - Broad Street Station
  • Departing Grove Street:  All trains will depart 6 minutes later than scheduled.
  • Departing Broad Street:  All trains will depart 8 minutes later than scheduled.
  • Departing Newark Penn Station to Broad Street:  All trains will depart 6 minutes earlier than scheduled.
  • Departing Newark Penn Station to Grove Street:  All trains will depart 10 minutes later than scheduled.

Sunday, September 30 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • All trains will arrive on the outbound platform at NJPAC/Center Street, Atlantic Street, Ball Park/Riverfront Stadium, Broad Street, Military Park, Washington Street, Warren Street and Norfolk Street Stations. Please check the destination sign before boarding.
  • Inbound platforms will be closed at NJPAC/Center Street, Washington Park, Broad Street, Military Park, Washington Street, Warren Street and Norfolk Street Stations.
  • IMPORTANT: All trains will operate in two sections on a modified Sunday Schedule as follows:
