The Homepage Trip Planner will find the fastest trips within a one mile walking distance of your origin and destination.

To begin, enter your starting address or boarding location (e.g. station or park & ride name). If you start typing a station name or park & ride location, the Trip Planner will suggest locations. You can select these by pressing Enter or Tab. You can also enter any street address or intersection. Be sure to include your city and state. Commas are acceptable, but are not required.

If you prefer to use a particular travel mode (e.g. "rail only," "bus only," etc.), simply select the appropriate button.

You can adjust the date and time to plan a future trip, if desired.

To plan an ADA-accessible trip, check the box next to the word "Accessible."

To plan a trip using other settings, including shorter walking distances and fewer transfers, please use our Advanced Trip Planner by clicking "Advanced."

UPDATE: Newark Light Rail: Boarding Changes due to Construction Work - June 2012

Track maintenance work scheduled for the weekend of June 2 and June 3 has been cancelled.

NJ TRANSIT will perform necessary track maintenance on the following dates:
Please check the destination sign before boarding.

Beginning at 10 p.m. Monday, June 4 through 4 a.m. Tuesday, June 5

All trains will arrive on the inbound platform at Branch Brook Park and Silver Lake stations.

Outbound platforms will be closed at Branch Brook Park and Silver Lake stations.

All trains will operate on a regular weekday schedule.

Beginning at 10 p.m. Tuesday, June 5 through 4 a.m. Wednesday, June 6

All trains will arrive on the outbound platform at Branch Brook Park and Silver Lake stations.

Inbound platforms will be closed atBranch Brook Park and Silver Lake stations.

All trains will operate on a regular weekday schedule.

Beginning at 10 p.m. Wednesday June 6 through 4 a.m. Thursday, June 7

All trains will arrive on the inbound platform at Davenport Avenue and Bloomfield Avenue stations.

Outbound platforms will be closed at Davenport Avenue and Bloomfield Avenue stations.

All trains will operate on a regular weekday schedule.

Saturday, June 9 at 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, June 10

All trains will arrive on the outbound platform at Norfolk Street, Orange Street, Park Avenue, Bloomfield Avenue and Davenport Avenue stations.

Inbound platforms will be closed at Norfolk Street, Orange Street, Park Avenue, Bloomfield Avenue and Davenport Avenue stations.

IMPORTANT: All trains will operate on a modified Sunday schedule as follows:
Departing Grove Street: All trains will depart 10 minutes earlier than scheduled.
Departing Broad Street: All trains will depart 6 minutes later than scheduled.

Beginning at 10 p.m. Monday, June 11 through 4 a.m. Saturday, June 15

All trains will arrive on the inbound platform at Davenport and Bloomfield Avenue stations.

Outbound platforms will be closed at Davenport and Bloomfield Avenue stations.

All trains will operate ona regular weekday schedule.

Beginning at 10 p.m. Monday, June 16 through 4 a.m.Saturday, June 17

All trains will arrive on the inbound platform at Davenport and Bloomfield Avenue stations.

Outbound platforms will be closed at Davenport and Bloomfield Avenue stations.

All trains will operate on a regular weekday schedule.

Saturday, June 16 at 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, June 17

All trains will arrive on the outbound platform at Norfolk Street, Orange Street, Park Avenue stations.

Inbound platforms will be closed at Norfolk Street, Orange Street and Park Avenue stations.

IMPORTANT: All trains will operate on a modified Sunday schedule as follows:

Outbound platforms will be closed at Orange Street, Park Avenue, Bloomfield Avenue and Davenport Avenue stations.
