Route 495 Rehabilitation Detour for Nos. 160, 161, 163, 190, 191, 192, 195 & 199 in Union City - Beginning Friday, August 10, 2018

Beginning at 10 p.m. Friday, August 10 and continuing for approximately two years, the 31st Street ramp to Route 495 West will be closed between JFK Blvd. and Route 495 West due to NJ DOT’s Route 495 Rehabilitation Project.

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. Nos. 160, 161, 163, 190, 191, 192, 195 and 199 in Union City will operate on a detour.

  • Buses will operate their normal routes via the 31st Street Ramp to Route 495 West from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Detour will be in effect from 1:01 p.m. to 5:59 a.m. using 31st Street Ramp to Paterson Plank Road.

Buses traveling toward Secaucus will travel from 31st Street Ramp, make a right on the ramp for Paterson Plank Road, left on Paterson Plank Road, bear right onto the ramp for Route 3 West, continue on the Route 3 West service road to Route 3 West, and then continue the regular route.
