New Bus Schedules Effective Saturday, June 23, 2018

New bus schedules will take effect Saturday, June 23 on several NJ TRANSIT bus routes. 

Attention Port Authority Bus Terminal Customers:  In order to enhance the customer experience, beginning Friday, June 1, and continuing through August 30, the following bus lines will have additional Fridays ONLY summer service added to the weekday schedule:  Bus Route Nos. 123, 128, 129, 156, 158, 159, 160, 163, 164, 165, 166, 177, 192, 193, 320 and 324.

Please note the following service changes:

No. 1 Sundays: Early morning service has been increased to the Ironbound neighborhood due to high customer demand.

Nos. 13, 34, 94, 96, 99 Weekdays: Schedules have been adjusted to reflect actual operating experience and to reflect annual summer service adjustments on select lines.

Nos. 40, 71, 73, 80 & 81 Weekdays, Saturdays & Sundays: Schedules have been adjusted to reflect actual operating experience and to reflect annual summer service adjustments on select lines.

Nos. 65 and 66 Weekdays, Saturday & Sundays: All trips will now begin/terminate at Newark Penn Station, Raymond Blvd. Lane 4B.  Nos. 65&66 lines will no longer operate to Washington Park. New express service has been added to the 66 line during the AM and PM peaks to/from Newark Penn.

No. 67 Daily:  Start of direct service to and from Seaside Park from Newark and Jersey City with selected service via Newark Liberty International Airport.  The 67X service will be adjusted to coordinate with the No. 319 expanded service. Weekdays:  67B trip originating in Toms River will originate in Seaside Park.

No. 95 Weekdays: service will be discontinued effective June 23, 2018 (see above for revised No. 65 and No. 66 service).

No. 107 Weekdays: Three PM peak hour trips out of NY PABT have been extended to serve South Orange.

No. 130 Fridays:  To enhance customer options on Fridays, a 2:15 PM trip from New York (NY) to Lakewood will be added.

No. 133 Weekdays:  Trips currently leaving the Rotary Senior Center at 6:45 AM and 7:05 AM will leave 5 minutes later at 6:50 AM and 7:10 AM respectively. All times between Rt. 516 at Morganville Road and New York will remain the same. Change is being made due to reduced traffic on Rt. 516 with school not in session.

No. 137 Weekdays:  AM Parkway Express service from Toms River will be adjusted.  A trip will be added on Mondays to accommodate passengers, please refer to notes on the timetable, as not all trips will operate Monday through Friday. Selected trips will originate in Seaside Park, post AM peak trip times and service from NY will be adjusted to coordinate with the No. 319 expanded service. Selected PM trips will be extended to Seaside Park. The current 8:15 PM and 10:00 PM Parkway Express trips serving Brick and Dorado Park & Rides will be suspended for the summer.

  • THE LAST TRIP FROM NEW YORK SERVING BRICK AND DORADO PARK&RIDES WILL BE THE 7:40 PM TRIP LEAVING FROM GATE 320. Daily: Start of direct service to and from Seaside Park (Island Beach State Park on weekends) to and from New York. AM Shuttle from Toms River and PM Shuttle from Seaside Park will be suspended.

No. 139 Fridays: To enhance customer options, on Fridays, a 3:00 PM trip from New York to Union Hill Road Park & Ride will be added, making all stops. 

  • Saturday and Sunday:  Added service to and from New York to enhance options for customers traveling to and from New York.

No. 119 Weekdays:  New weekday schedule with ten (10) additional trips throughout the day.  Please review a new timetable as many trip times have changed in both directions.

No. 154 Weekdays:  New inbound trips added at 5:08 AM and 8:36 AM, as well as, additional trips departing the Port Authority Bus Terminal at 4:45 PM and 6:00 PM.  Other adjustments have been made to many trip times throughout the day.  Please pick up a timetable or visit our website for more information.    

No. 156 Weekdays:  New weekday schedule with four additional AM trips at 5:24 AM, 6:20 AM, 9:59 AM and 10:15 AM, as well as, four additional PM trips leaving the Port Authority Bus Terminal at 4:20 PM, 5:54 PM, 6:34 PM and 7:32 PM.  Minor adjustments to other trip times throughout the day.  Please pick up a timetable or visit our website for more information.

No. 158 Weekdays:  In order to enhance the customer experience, additional service has been added throughout the day, including:

  • Six (6) new trips departing the Port Authority Bus Terminal at 4:36 PM, 5:12 PM, 5:37 PM, 6:22 PM, 7:02 PM and 7:40 PM.
  • A new earlier AM trip beginning in Fort Lee at 5:19 AM and another beginning in Edgewater at 8:40 AM. 

No. 159 Weekdays:  A new inbound “R” trip has been added at 5:33 AM and three additional PM departures from the Port Authority Bus Terminal at 4:30 PM, 5:46 PM and 6:26 PM.  Minor adjustments to trips times in both the AM and PM.  Please pick up a timetable or visit our website for more information.

No. 163 Weekdays:  Minor adjustments made to the weekday schedule in both directions, with an additional trip departing the Port Authority Bus Terminal at 7:14 PM.  

No. 164 Weekdays:  A new earlier trip has been added to the inbound schedule at 5:05 AM.  Additional minor adjustments are made for many AM trip times.  Please review a timetable for details. 

No. 177 Weekdays:  Two additional PM trips out of the Port Authority Bus Terminal at 4:14 PM and 6:55 PM have been added to the schedule.  Minor adjustments to trip times in the PM, on both the 167 & 177 schedules.

No. 190 Weekdays:  Select outbound trips departing the Port Authority Bus Terminal have been adjusted to better meet ridership demands through Union City, and to improve on-time performance.

No. 308 Daily: Service will continue to operate seven days a week, please refer to njtransit.com for times for the specific day you wish to travel to the park.

Nos. 313/315, 319, 403, 507, 509, 551, and 552:  Weekday, Saturday, and Sunday schedules will be adjusted for summer traffic levels.  Additional service will be added to selected lines to help with increased demand during summer.  Please check the new timetables as arrival and departure times may have changed.

No. 316:  Operates through summer until Labor Day.  No. 316 will continue to serve 30th Street Station in Philadelphia, WRTC in Camden, the Gloucester Premium Outlets in Blackwood, and Ocean View Park & Ride on the Garden State Parkway.

No. 408:  Service from Philadelphia between 3:30 PM and 5:30 PM will be adjusted to depart every half hour.

No. 413:  Service to the Burlington Center Mall will be discontinued due to the closing of the Mall.

No. 450:  Service via Nicholson Road will be restored.

No. 455:  All weekday trips will be adjusted to serve Paulsboro.

No. 510:  Service will operate through Labor Day between Wildwood Bus Terminal and Rio Grande to help with overcrowding.

Nos. 600, 603, and 613: Will no longer operate via Groves Mill Road between Route 1 and Quaker Bridge Mall.  All trips will operate via the entrance ramp from Route 1.

No. 770 Weekdays:  Weekday service has been adjusted throughout the dayin both directions.  Please review a timetable for details. 

Nos. 803, 804, and 805:  Selected trips will be adjusted to improve connections with the June 2018 NEC schedule.

No. 830:  The timepoint in Avon-by-the-Sea will be changed to Main Street at Jefferson Avenue due to bus stop changes in the town.
