Detour in Rahway - Thursday, November 9 to Monday, November 13, 2017

Beginning Thursday, November 9 and continuing until Monday, November 13 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. each day, Milton Avenue and Main Street will be closed between Broad Street to Main Street and Milton Avenue to Elizabeth Avenue due to milling, paving and striping work (weather permitting).

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 48 in Rahway will operate on a detour.

Buses traveling toward Elizabeth will travel:

  • From Woodbridge: At Milton Avenue and Broad Street, make a left on Broad Street, left on Irving Street, right on Elizabeth Avenue, and then continue the regular route.
  • From Perth Amboy: At Hazelwood Avenue and Main Street, continue on Hazelwood Avenue, make a right on Jacques Avenue, right on Milton Avenue, left on Broad Street, left on Irving Street, right on Elizabeth Avenue, and then continue the regular route.

Buses traveling toward Perth Amboy/Woodbridge will travel from Irving Street and Broad Street, make a right on Broad Street, right on Cherry Street, left on Campbell Avenue, right on Milton Avenue, Woodbridge buses will continue the regular route. Perth Amboy buses will continue on Milton Avenue to Jacques Avenue and left on Hazelwood Avenue, and then continue the regular route.
