Northeast Corridor: Low-Level Platforms on Eastbound Trains at Hamilton and Princeton Junction Stations through November 2017
Use of low-level platforms requires that customers descend and ascend several steps traveling between the train and platform.
Weekends from Friday, October 13 through late November, beginning at 10 p.m. Fridays and continuing until 5 a.m. Mondays, Amtrak will be performing necessary track maintenance work. As a result, customers traveling eastbound to and from Hamilton and Princeton Junction stations will use low-level platforms for boarding and alighting.
Customers who are unable to use stairs may use the following alternate travel options:
- If traveling FROM Hamilton to points east (e.g. New York): Board an outbound/westbound train at Hamilton and transfer at Trenton to an eastbound/inbound train to your destination.
- If traveling TO Hamilton from points west (e.g. Trenton): Remain on the train and transfer at New Brunswick Station to an outbound/westbound train to Hamilton.
- If traveling FROM Princeton Junction to points east (e.g. New York): Board a westbound train at Princeton Junction and transfer at Trenton to an eastbound/inbound train to your destination.
- If traveling TO Princeton Junction from points west (e.g. Trenton): Remain on the train and transfer at New Brunswick Station to an outbound/westbound train to Princeton Junction.
Please listen for station announcements or review the platform monitors for boarding information.
Customers may experience up to 15 minute delays during this time. Please allow for extra travel time.
