REMINDER: Port Jervis Line: Buses Replace Trains - Trains will not operate between Harriman & Suffern due to Infrastructure Improvements on Weekends through August 15-17, 2014

Effective immediately and continuing weekends through Sunday, August 17, Port Jervis Line service will not operate between Harriman and Suffern on weekends from approximately 9:30 p.m. Friday until 11:59 p.m. Sunday.  During this time, Metro-North will perform bridge rehabilitations near Tuxedo Station. 

Friday Evening

  • Trains 65 (7:57 PM from Hoboken) and Train 68 (9:27 PM from Port Jervis) will be the last trains to operate normally.
  • Train 67 (9:58 PM from Hoboken) and Train 41/69 (12:40 AM early Saturday from Hoboken) will terminate in Suffern. 
    • Customers traveling to stations beyond Suffern will transfer to buses at Ramsey Route 17.
    • Customers traveling to stations beyond Harriman will transfer to a shuttle train at Harriman.

Saturday and Sunday

  • Eastbound trains will operate from Port Jervis to Harriman for bus transfers to Ramsey Route 17.  Customers will board trains at Ramsey Route 17 to continue to Secaucus and Hoboken.
    • Customers boarding at Tuxedo and Sloatsburg will be transported by bus to Ramsey Route 17.
    • Eastbound Trains 72 and 80 are cancelled between Suffern and Hoboken.  Buses will connect with NJ TRANSIT Train 1708 (9:14 AM at Ramsey Route 17) and Train 1728 (7:14 PM at Ramsey Route 17).  Customers taking these trains from stations in New York State to Secaucus or Hoboken will reach their final destinations up to one hour late.
    • Customers on eastbound trains 1752, 74, 76 and 82 will be delayed up to 20 minutes to Secaucus and Hoboken.  These trains will hold for bus connections at Ramsey Route 17.  Every effort will be made to protect connections at Secaucus.
  • Westbound trains will operate between Hoboken and Suffern, with a stop at Ramsey Route 17.  Except where noted below, customers traveling to New York State stations will be delayed 20-40 minutes.
    • Customers traveling to stations beyond Suffern will transfer to buses at Ramsey Route 17.
    • Customers traveling beyond Harriman will transfer to a shuttle train at Harriman.
    • Westbound Train 77 is cancelled between Suffern and Hoboken.  Customers who normally use this train should take Train 1725 (4:25 PM from Hoboken) to Ramsey Route 17 for connecting service.  Customers traveling to New York State stations will be delayed up to 75 minutes.
    • Train 69 (12:40 AM from Hoboken) will be affected on Saturday night/early Sunday ONLY.

On Sunday night/early Monday morning, regular service to Port Jervis resumes with westbound Train 69/41 (12:40 AM from Hoboken).
